Freiburg improve Cisse salary and terms

Senegalese international striker Papiss Cisse has received a salary increase and the promise that he can leave Freiburg next summer if he wishes, the club's sporting director Dirk Hufner said on Friday.
"After long negotiations we have found the right solution for both parties," Hufner told Kicker magazine. "It was very important for us that he remain another season."
Cisse announced last month that he wanted to leave the Bundesliga club "to play at a different level". Freiburg afterwards rejected several offers from English clubs Newcastle and Fulham and Russian side Rubin Kazan.
The German club estimated that "none (of the offers) was high enough financially" for a player whose initial get-out clause was in the region of 15 million euros.
The 26-year-old has scored 22 goals since his arrival in May 2010 from French second division side Metz. He was the second top Bundesliga scorer last season and has already scored four goals this season, although the club are just above the drop zone.
