Iraq wins away to Singapore in WCup qualifying

Iraq got its World Cup qualifying campaign back on track with a win at Singapore on Tuesday, as did North Korea with a home victory over Tajikistan.
Iraq, coached by former Brazil great Zico, recovered from the upset home loss to Jordan in their opening match Friday by beating Singapore 2-0.
North Korea also notched its first points of the campaign by defeating Tajikistan 1-0 in Pyongyang. Both Singapore and Tajikistan had lost their opening two games.
Thailand was another team to take its first points in the group-stage third round, winning 3-0 at home against Oman, while Bahrain won 2-0 at Indonesia.
