Austria's Maierhofer called up for Turkey game

Austria striker Stefan Maierhofer has been added to the squad for Tuesday’s 2012 European Championship qualifier against Turkey.
Coach Dietmar Constantini called up the Salzburg forward on Saturday as captain Marc Janko is doubtful because of groin problems. The injury kept Janko sidelined during Austria’s 6-2 loss to Germany on Friday and the FC Twente forward might not recover in time, the Austrian football federation says.
Austria trails Turkey by six points in Group A and must win to retain its slim chance of reaching second place.
Germany has already secured top spot with the maximum 24 points from eight matches and has become the first team to qualify for the finals in Poland and Ukraine.
