Hertha fined for fan running onto pitch

The German football federation (DFB) has fined Hertha Berlin ?4,000 ($5,700) for one of its supporters running onto the pitch during a Bundesliga game.

The DFB said on Friday the fan entered the field of play in the 27th minute of Hertha’s opening weekend loss to Nuremberg at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Aug. 6.

Hertha agreed to pay the fine.

The DFB also fined second-division side FC Erzgebirge Aue ?3,000 ($4,300) after a firecracker was thrown onto the pitch during its game at FC Ingolstadt on Sept. 2.
