Austria’s Arnautovic called up for Euro qualis

VIENNA (AP)—Striker Marko Arnautovic has been added to Austria’s 22-man squad for next month’s European Championship qualifiers against Germany and Turkey.

Austria coach Dietmar Constantini called up the Werder Bremen winger on Saturday after Arnautovic scored in a 2-1 win over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Arnautovic is Austria’s leading scorer in qualifying with three goals but had been left out of the team since lackluster performances against Belgium and Turkey in March. Austria lost both matches 2-0 to leave itself with only a slim chance of advancing from Group A.

Austria plays Germany in Gelsenkirchen on Friday, then Turkey in Vienna four days later.
