Harry Redknapp: Emmanuel Adebayor needs to see a shrink

HARRY REDKNAPP believes Emmanuel Adebayor may need to see a shrink to overcome his gun ambush horror.
Tottenham are close to a loan deal for the Togo striker, who had 30 minutes of terror when gunmen attacked his national team bus during the African Nations Cup in Angola last year.
Redknapp, who has visited military rehab centres to meet injured British troops, said: "When the boys come back from Afghanistan they have counselling.
"Sometimes maybe you need it. It was a pretty traumatic experience. You don't know how it affects people. I don't know whether he has had any. But it must have been scary with someone shooting at you."
Spurs hope to strike a deal with Manchester City for the unwanted former Arsenal man.
Redknapp added: "He'd give us something different. He had that spell at Arsenal when he was unplayable.
"I remember going to the Emirates with Portsmouth and being two up. Then he came on with 20 minutes left and he ripped us to pieces. We were hanging on at 2-2.
"We could not handle him. His reputation has gone down ? he needs to come in and have a right go and build it back up.
"I was talking to Rio Ferdinand recently and he and Nemanja Vidic thought Adebayor was the most difficult opponent they had faced."
