Suarez leads Liverpool to League Cup win

LONDON (AP)—Luis Suarez lead Liverpool to a 3-1 victory over third-tier Exeter in the League Cup on Wednesday in the second round.
The Uruguay forward volleyed in the opener after 23 minutes before teeing up Maxi Rodriguez and substitute Andy Carroll for goals in the second half.
Daniel Nardiello pulled one back from the penalty spot for Exeter after he had been fouled by Martin Skrtel with 10 minutes to go.
All the other Premier League teams in action Wednesday also went through to the third round.
Everton beat Sheffield United 3-1, Blackburn ousted Sheffield Wednesday by the same scoreline, and Bolton edged Macclesfield 2-1.
