Fabregas: Raring to go after finally completing Barcelona move
Barcelona new-boy Cesc Fabregas has promised to get even better after marking his first start for his new club with a goal.
The former Arsenal skipper finally completed his move to Camp Nou earlier this month after a protracted saga lasting more than a year.
He made his debut for the Catalan giants in their Super Cup win over Real Madrid last week before starting their Gamper Trophy game against Napoli on Monday, grabbing a goal in a 5-0 rout for Pep Guardiola's men.
"I am very happy to have scored my first goal in a Barcelona shirt," said the 24-year-old.
New experience
"This is a great experience and I hope to enjoy the moment. All my mates make things easy for me.
"I am playing in a different role compared to what I was used to at Arsenal. But this is a new experience and things will get better."
Meanwhile Fabregas' team-mate Carlos Puyol is set to miss for an extended spell on the sidelines, the club revealed.
The Barca and Spain captain has been ruled out for three weeks, meaning he will certainly miss Barca's European Super Cup game against Porto as well the opening matches of the Primera Liga season.
