El Zhar: Completes move to Primera Liga with Levante
Liverpool striker Nabil El Zhar has completed a switch to Spanish side Levante on a two-year deal.
The 25-year-old joined Liverpool in 2006 from Saint Etienne but never really established himself at Anfield during his stay on Merseyside.
El Zhar, who is a Moroccan international, spent last season on loan at Greek side PAOK Salonique and now believes it is time to kick-start his career away from England.
He told skysports.com: "Liverpool was a good experience for me but I never had a chance to show what I am capable of.
"If I had been given a chance, I could have shown my qualities but this is the life of a footballer.
"I am happy because Liverpool is a great club, I have a massive respect for the club and I was happy to be part of it.
"But I am a Levante player now, I'm 25-years-old and it's time for me to show what I am capable of.
"I am looking forward to the Spanish season as I believe the style there will suit my type of football."
