Raith Rovers 1 : 1 Greenock Morton - All square at Stark`s Park
Posted Saturday, August 20, 2011 by PA
It was honours even at Stark's Park as Raith and Morton played out a 1-1 draw.
Paul Di Giacomo's 38th-minute equaliser for the visitors cancelled out Stephen Reynolds' opener for the home side six minutes earlier.
Raith started well and unsurprisingly went in front, Reynolds profiting from Danny Thomson's good work to slot home.
Their lead did not last long, though, as Morton pressed in search of a response, Di Giacomo finishing well after Darren McGeouch's ball in.
Peter MacDonald almost put the away side in front on the hour mark but his effort was tipped round the post by David McGurn.
It proved to be the last clear chance of the game as both teams finished with a point.
