Airdrie welcome Sean Lynch into their squad for the first time for the clash against Cowdenbeath with the midfielder having recovered from a knock sustained in pre-season.

Defender Graham Goodall and winger Ally Woodburn remain out through injury, however, and Diamonds boss Jimmy Boyle is looking for an improvement following an insipid display against East Fife in their last outing.

Boyle said: "It was a poor result and a poor performance and we got what we deserved. I am looking for a whole lot better this time.

"We will need to do better as Cowdenbeath are a good side who will be coming here boosted by a win over Brechin and looking to get some momentum behind them for a promotion campaign."

Cowdenbeath will be without striker Mark Ramsay after he picked up an injury when he scored against Brechin last weekend.

Defenders Thomas O'Brien and Dene Droudge remain absent through injury as does midfielder Danny Mackay.

Central Park manager Colin Cameron is looking for more of the same from his players following their 3-1 success over Brechin last week.

"We moved the ball about quickly and scored three very good goals," he said. "I am looking for us to do the same against Airdrie, although I recognise they are a force on their own pitch as their results against Stirling and Dumbarton prove.

"We need to win our individual battles and earn the right to pass the ball."
