I have a say

Ayr are set to be without defender Eddie Malone and midfielder Alan Trouten for the clash against Falkirk at Somerset Park.

The duo are struggling with injury and manager Brian Reid is hoping that no-one else calls off before kick-off.

He said: "We have a small squad and are stretched pretty tightly with just these two out.

"We went to Dens Park last Saturday and brought back a good point from Dundee and that has got us off and running for the season.

"If we are to do well in this campaign we need to take something from our home games so hopefully we can get our first win against Falkirk. It will be tough as they have good young players but winning at home is crucial."

Falkirk welcome back defender Darren Dods and midfielder Mark Millar from suspension.

Defender Stephen Kingsley is the only injury doubt for the Bairns at a venue that assistant manager Lee Bullen has few fond memories of.

Bullen said: "Every time I came here as a player it was always a difficult venue to play at and I cannot recall an easy time. This game will be the same I am sure of that.

"Ayr manager Brian Reid has put together a very useful side, including a couple of players we had our eye on during the summer, so this will be a real test for our youngsters."
