Hamilton put 10-man Ross County to the sword 5-1 and went top of the embryonic Scottish First Division table.
Mark McLaughlin opened the scoring after good work from Douglas Imrie.
A close range volley from Ali Crawford doubled the advantage six minutes before the interval.
A James Chambers penalty three minutes later put the result beyond doubt after Jonathan Flynn was dismissed for a professional foul on Matthew Paterson.
Paterson added a fourth in the 57th minute when he converted Imrie's right-wing cross.
Ross County pulled one back 13 minutes from time when Kurtis Byrne volleyed home Scott Morrison's cross from six yards.
But Hamilton scored again in injury time when Grant Anderson finished impressively from 18 yards after collecting Simon Mensing's pass.
