Dundee 1 : 1 Ayr Utd. - Jake gives Ayr nowhere to Hyde
Posted Saturday, August 13, 2011 by PA
Jake Hyde's first half equaliser denied Ayr United their first win of the season as Dundee secured a 1-1 at Dens Park.
The away side took the lead with their first attack through Michael Moffat, an early substitute for the injured Alan Trouten.
Moffat got on the end of Micheal McGowan's right wing cross to powerfully head home in the 14th minutes.
Dundee went onto the attack and Nicholas Riley forced a fine save from Kevin Cuthbert.
They equalised on the half hour when Hyde latched on to Jamie McCluskey's pass to rifle his effort in.
In a second half of few chances, Matthew Lockwood should have won it for Dundee six minutes from time but headed over from close range.
