Goals from Craig Johnstone and Robert Linn secured East Fife's first win of their Irn-Bru Second Division season as they beat Airdrie 2-0 at Bayview Stadium.
Johnstone gave the hosts the lead in the 36th minute, with the defender easing the ball past Airdrie goalkeeper Paul McKane following good work from Scott Durie on the right-wing.
Robert Linn then slammed home substitute Steven Hislop's cross from close range, to give East Fife a two goal lead after 64 minutes
Airdrie mounted a sustained attack on the home side's goal following defender David Muir's sending off for a clash with Kieron Stallard in the 71st minute.
But wasteful finishing from David Lilley and Rhys Devlin meant the hosts were able to complete their deserved victory.
