Spanish top flight team Real Zaragoza said Friday they have signed Argentine midfielder Franco Zuculini on a one-year loan from Germany's Hoffenheim.

Zaragoza have the option to buy the 20-year-old, who already has one cap for his country, it said in a statement.

Hoffenheim bought Zuculini for 4.7 million euros in 2009 from Argentina's Racing Club Avellaneda.

He is the seventh signing for the new season for Real Zaragoza, which filed for bankruptcy protection last June faced with debts of 110 million euros.

Last week, the club, which finished in 13th place in La Liga last season, just two points off the relegation zone, signed Spanish goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez Gago from Portuguese giants Benfica for 8.6 million euros.
