Albion Rovers FC vs Forfar Athletic preview - Trialist to play in Albion goal
Posted Saturday, August 13, 2011 by PA
Albion Rovers will have David Crawford in goal as a trialist for the visit of Forfar.
Regular number one Derek Gaston cannot play as he was injured in the challenge that saw him red-carded against Arbroath last week, though that red has since been overturned.
Back-up goalkeeper Chris Fahey was not successful in his appeal to have his dismissal in the same game rescinded and he misses out.
Todd Lumsden is in line to make his comeback after injury and Scott Chaplain is available after a ban, however Allan Dempsie and Mick O'Byrne miss out through injury while John Gemmell is suspended.
Rovers boss Paul Martin said: "To have Derek unavailable because of an injury he sustained in a challenge he was sent off for is like rubbing salt into a wound."
Forfar will be without on-loan goalkeeper Grant Adam after he was recalled by parent-club Rangers.
Adam's return to Ibrox means Greg Paterson will be between the sticks.
Everyone else in the Station Park squad is fit and available to manager Dick Campbell who is planning changes following the 5-0 defeat from Morton in midweek.
Assistant manager Ian Campbell said: "There will definitely be changes after that game as there is nothing like a heavy defeat to really focus the mind.
"We will be out to make up for that as it was nowhere near good enough and we have to get back on the rails quickly.
"We will need to play well as Paul Martin will have his side fired up for this one."
