I have a say

LONDON (AP)—Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says “we have to make decisions” about whether to allow midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri to leave the club.

Speaking Thursday on Arsenal’s website, Wenger says he hopes Fabregas’ long-standing link with Barcelona “will be sorted out very quickly, one way or the other.”

Fabregas left Barcelona to join Arsenal as a 16-year-old, scoring 57 goals in 303 games for the Gunners. For the past two offseason seasons, the English club has rebuffed advances from the Spanish champions for him.

Nasri has one year left on his Arsenal contract and reportedly wants to join Manchester City.

Wenger says of both players’ future that “ideally, you want it to be sorted out before the season starts” this weekend.
