GLASGOW, Scotland (AP)—Scotland beat Denmark for the first time since 1975 on Wednesday, with Robert Snodgrass scoring his first international goal on his first start to clinch a 2-1 victory.

Snodgrass headed in Kenny Miller’s cross just before half time at a rain-soaked Hampden Park.

Scotland went in front in the 23rd minute when Charlie Adam’s free kick deflected into the net off William Kvist Jorgensen.

The visitors leveled briefly in the 31st when Christian Eriksen’s free kick from the left flank flew over goalkeeper Allan McGregor’s head.
