EX vice girl Helen Wood has told how she feared for her life after being attacked by a gang of thugs chanting: "Rooney, Rooney."

She was left with a broken nose, black eyes, a footprint on her face and cuts and grazes after the battering on a night out in her local pub.

Two men and seven stiletto-wearing women taunted the single mum at closing time after spotting her.

They took pictures before singing songs about married Man U and England star Rooney, who bedded Helen and vice girl pal Jennifer Thompson, 22, last summer. A pal of Helen said she asked the group to stop - but one yob pushed her head against her at the Victoria Inn in Bolton on Sunday.

Helen said she tried to diffuse the situation but was punched in the back of the head, kicked and stamped on as she lay on the floor.

She said: "I ended up on the floor. When I went to stand one girl started kicking me in the face and the ribs and back.
