Rossi: Will now focus on the new season after stating he wants to stay in Spain
Juventus have suffered more frustration in their bid to land a marquee striker after Giuseppe Rossi ruled out a move to Turin.
The Italian giants have been actively searching for a striker over the close season and had declared an interest in Sergio Aguero before he signed for Manchester City.
Striker Mirko Vucinic completed a 15million euros switch from Roma on Monday, however, that does not appear to have abated their desire to recruit a marksman.
But they will now have to turn their attentions to another target after Rossi opted to remain in Spain with Villarreal.
Happy
"I'm not thinking about (Juventus) any more, I feel good at Villarreal and I am happy to be at this club," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I feel great here and I want to experience new satisfactions to go with those I've already had in previous years."
There have been suggestions that Rossi secretly harboured a move to Juventus and that the only reason the move fell through was their inability to meet Villarreal's asking price.
But the former Manchester United youngster has moved to dismiss that notion and insists he always wanted to remain in Spain.
"When I say I feel good here, I mean it," he added. "I have been at Villarreal for four years and I've never had a problem.
"I'm totally focused on the new season as are all my team-mates and soon we have the Champions League play-off to contend with and there's no need to stress how important that is."
