Irish champions Shamrock Rovers bowed out of the Champions League after succumbing to a 3-0 aggregate defeat to FC Copenhagen in their third qualifying round second leg clash in Dublin.
The hosts were far from overawed against Roland Nilsson's Danish champions, who earned a draw with Barcelona on their way to the last 16 of last year's competition, yet were unable to make the breakthrough at Tallaght Stadium.
Dame N'Doye opened the scoring for the visitors after 42 minutes while Christian Bolanos' 73rd-minute effort set the seal on a 2-0 victory on the night.
Copenhagen now progress to the play-off round where victory over two legs would put them into the Champions League group stages for the second successive year.
Rovers, meanwhile, have the consolation of a place in the play-offs for the Europa League group phase.
