The Twit hits the fan: Joey Barton in new amazing Newcastle crisis
Posted Tuesday, August 02, 2011 by The Sun
JOEY BARTON capped another crazy day in the mad world of Newcastle United by telling Mike Ashley to think about what it means to wear the famous black and white stripes.
They were, as ever, honourable words from the Twitter-loving Scouse midfielder who is never backwards in storming forwards.
Problem is, whatever is thrown at club owner Ashley, it will just bounce straight off him.
You don't make a billion quid by being Mr Nice Guy.
He doesn't enjoy the fearful stick and abuse - but he can take it.
Well, after kicking out Toon's best player, Mike my old son, the natives are restless once more.
With 11 days to go before the big Prem kick-off at home to Arsenal, Toon are, incredibly and, sadly predictably, in meltdown. Again.
We have, of course, been here before. The storms surrounding Dennis Wise, Kevin Keegan and Chris Hughton were something.
This, however, has put the seething cat among the disbelieving Magpies.
