GUUS Hiddink has told Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to stop hiring and firing his managers.

Hiddink is close pals with Abramovich and has warned the billionaire he can forget success if he continues to undermine his bosses.

The 64-year-old Dutchman, the only manager to part company with Abramovich on his terms, says it is vital he stays behind.

Andres Villas-Boas. He said: “Yes, I have spoken with Roman and I think Chelsea is now convinced stability is important.

“Look at Manchester United and they are the example others must follow.

“That is what Chelsea need now. Villas-Boas must be given an opportunity to work.”

Hiddink insists he was never offered the job following his success in 2009 when he took over from sacked Phil Scolari and led Chelsea to the FA Cup.

Turkey manager Hiddink, here in Rio for today’s World Cup draw, added: “Carlo Ancelotti did well for two years and he proved himself a gentlemen with the way he reacted to the decision. It was a harsh decision to sack him.

“I was never offered the job this time. There was nothing concrete. There was no contact about the specifics of the job.

“I love to go back to Chelsea and Roman always makes me feel welcome.”

Villas-Boas is the seventh manager under trigger-happy Abramovich’s control since 2004, and Hiddink says: “He must be given time.”
