Manchester City have completed the signing of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid on a five-year contract.
City has spent a reported club-record fee of 40 million euros on the Argentina international, which will include add-ons.
The striker has signed a contract which will see him remain at Eastlands until 2016, and he will earn in the region of 205,000 euros a week, making him one of the highest earners at City.
The 23-year-old flew into Manchester on Wednesday to discuss the terms of his deal and underwent a medical before he signed autographs for City fans outside the stadium.
The fee paid for Aguero almost reaches the 42.5 millions euros paid for Robinho in 2008, as Roberto Mancini's side look to make their mark in the Champions League as well as challenging for the Premier League title this season.
Aguero, nicknamed 'Kun', has already stated about his delight about joining City on his official Twitter account.
