Yokohama takes over J-League lead with draw

OMIYA, Japan (AP)—Yokohama F Marinos moved to the top of the J-League standings on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Omiya Ardija.
Yuji Ono’s header late in the first half gave Yokohama a 1-0 lead but Rafael equalized 16 minutes from time for the hosts.
Yokohama moved ahead of Kashiwa Reysol on goal difference at the midway point of the season. Kashiwa was beaten 3-2 by Kawasaki Frontale on Saturday.
Both Yokohama and Kashiwa have 34 points after 17 games, while champion Nagoya Grampus moved into third place with 30 points after a 2-0 win over Montedio Yamagata.
