GLASGOW (AFP) - Rangers manager Ally McCoist revealed on Saturday that he has agreed a fee with Aston Villa to sign the club's former defender Carlos Cuellar.
Spaniard Cuellar spent the 2007-08 season with Rangers before joining Villa and he now looks set to return to Glasgow.
McCoist, speaking after a 4-1 friendly win over Linfield in Belfast, told Sky Sports News: "A fee has been agreed between the clubs and in an ideal world we'll get the deal done and get Carlos up here to join us.
"There is still a little bit of work to be done there. He was a wonderful player for us, very well thought of."
McCoist is also keen to bring former Rangers striker Kenny Miller back to Ibrox just months after he moved to Turkish club Bursaspor in January.
"That's a possibility. We haven't been in touch with Bursaspor but I wouldn't rule out anything at this stage," McCoist said.
"We are certainly looking to bring in three or four players in to the squad before facing Hearts next Saturday."
