Brazil coach Mano Menezes believes his players must raise their game if they hope to reach the semifinals of the Copa America.
The Samba Stars beat Ecuador 4-2 on Wednesday evening to set up a quarterfinal date with Paraguay on Saturday evening in La Plata.
"If our intention is to reach the semi-finals, then we must improve more. We needed this good performance against Ecuador, but there are still ways we can improve. There are always things we can correct," Menezes said during the post-match press conference.
"We will show them [Paraguay] the same respect that we did in the first game."
Menezes also took the time to discuss the performance of Neymar, who netted a brace against Ecuador, and stated that the Santos sensation will only get better with time.
"He is still settling in the national team. We know he can continue to grow in this team and in the Copa America. We talked with him before the game, and he scored, which was important for him."
Brazil was held to a 2-2 draw by Paraguay in the group stage.
