Nigeria beat Canada 1-0, but both teams go home

DRESDEN, Germany (AFP) - Nigeria finished their women's World Cup campaign with a 1-0 win over Canada in their final Group A game on Tuesday, but both sides exited the tournament.
Despite Nigeria's Perpetua Nkwocha scoring the winner in the 84th minute, both teams are on their way home after defeats to both France and Germany—who go through to the quarter-finals—in their previous games.
