TRANMERE teenager Dale Jennings is on the verge of a stunning rags-to-riches move to Bayern Munich.

One of the summer’s more bizarre transfer stories is almost complete, as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich get ready to swoop for the Prenton Park star.

The 22-times German champions and four times Champions League winners believe they are getting an English star of the future, in a shock deal worth around £500,000 before performance-based add-ons.

Striker Jennings, 18, who attracted an offer from an unnamed ­Premier League club in January, is finalising ­personal terms.

He only made his debut last September, but ­physio-turned-manager Les Parry says that it underlines the talent he has in his young squad.

He said: “Bayern have made us a very good offer for Dale and we don’t want to stand in his way of making this incredible move.

“When a club with the size and history of Bayern come in for you it’s the ­opportunity of a lifetime.

“I wish Dale all the best if the transfer happens.

“It says a lot about the club’s youth system that one of the giants of Europe is interested in signing one of our players.”
