BURSASPOR, Turkey (AP)—England backup goalkeeper Scott Carson has left West Bromwich Albion to join Turkish side Bursaspor.
The 25-year-old Carson, who previously played for Liverpool, has ended a three-year spell with West Brom to make a fresh start outside the Premier League. The transfer fee was not disclosed Friday.
West Brom manager Roy Hodgson says Carson “has been a good servant to the club” and was looking to “broaden his experience by playing in a foreign country.”
Carson was in and out of West Brom’s first team last season, losing his place to Boaz Myhill before regaining it in the final couple of months.
