A Barcelona spokesperson has confirmed the club has made a final offer to Udinese for Alexis Sanchez.
Speaking to EFE, the spokesperson told the Spanish news agency: "We are waiting for a response from Udinese.
"Barcelona made a definitive offer for the player and we will not change the parameters indicated."
Reports have suggested the two clubs have agreed on a 40 million euro transfer fee, but it seems the sticking point has been the method of payment.
Barcelona wants to give 27 million euros up front, and the rest depending on variables. The Italians, however, reportedly want to guarantee a 40 million euro income without risking the bonuses which would be based on the player's performances at Camp Nou.
Udinese had earlier confirmed it was still in talks with the Catalans for the 22-year-old, adding it wanted a positive conclusion so Sanchez could join his preferred club.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini admitted today that his side had made a good offer for the Chilean, but were forced out of the race after Sanchez told him he only wanted to move to Barcelona.
