BUENOS AIRES (AP)—Miguel Russo says will step down as the coach of Racing Club following Sunday’s season-ending match against Velez Sarsfield.
Russo said Wednesday at a news conference alongside club president Rodolfo Molina that he had informed the players of his decision. He said he and club officials decided the club needed to take a new course.
Racing started the Clausura season well and was an early leader, but has slipped into the bottom half of the table with one round to play.
