Report: Roma keeping tabs on Ajax's Maarten Stekelenburg

Netherlands international Maarten Stekelenburg could be on his way out of Eredivisie champions Ajax this summer as Serie A side Roma has shown an interest in signing the goalkeeper, Il Corriere dello Sport reports.
Roma is eager to sign a new shot stopper following the disappointing performances of Doni and Julio Sergio last term.
It has previously been linked with Bologna's Emiliano Viviano and AZ's Sergio Romero, but it has now reportedly turned its attention to Stekelenburg instead.
The 28-year-old Stekelenburg has been linked with clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United in the past couple of months, but neither of the two sides have so far made a move for the glovesman.
Stekelenburg's current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2012 and an offer in the region of €10 million could be enough to lure him away from the Amsterdam ArenA.
