CHRIS TARRANT is backing Reading to win today's £90million jackpot at the Championship play-off final.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire presenter and Royals fan says: "It's 50-50. Reading 3 Swansea 2 - that's my final answer."

Tarrant - who will be with his family at Wembley today cheering on his home-town team - used to stand on the terraces of the club's old Elm Park ground with his dad and grandfather.

He said: "It was a less impressive stadium than what we have now. In those days, we were in Division Three South and were happy if we got a crowd of 8,000.

"But when we got into the Premier League recently under Steve Coppell it was incredible. To see the likes of Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo playing here against Reading was a wonderful adventure for us.

"Now we're playing at Wembley for another chance to get into the top division. We've got a great manager now in Brian McDermott, who has got this squad together and they really work for him. We've just got better as the season has gone on."

Tarrant's favourite player is winger Jimmy Kebe, who he hopes will win his race to be fit today after suffering a thigh strain.

He said: "Shane Long has had a fantastic season, Matt Mills has been strong in defence and the one we're keeping all our fingers crossed for is Jimmy Kebe. He, on his day, is absolutely unstoppable - runs rings round everyone."
