Youngster Francesco Grandolfo scored a hat-trick on his first Serie A start as relegated Bari signed off from Serie A in style with a 4-0 victory at Bologna.
Erik Huseklepp was also on target for Bari in only their fifth success of the season - but for Bologna this setback rounded off a dismal finish to the season.
Norwegian forward Huseklepp had the first chance for the visitors but his seventh-minute shot went narrowly wide, while two minutes later Gaby Mudingayi shot over at the other end.
Bari goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet did well to keep out Luca Siligardi's powerful left foot attempt in the 12th minute - and the free-flowing start continued when Bologna's Nicolo Cherubin shot wide soon after.
Siligardi was also off target, before Bologna goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano did well to dive full-length and block Simone Bentivoglio's well-struck right foot effort.
Bentivoglio shot over again - but Bari had the lead in the 28th minute through Grandolfo, who tapped in from close range after Huseklepp's cross was deflected into his path.
Seven minutes before the break Gillet denied home defender Daniele Portanova, following Siligardi's cross - before Grandolfo shot narrowly wide after good work from Bentivoglio.
However, the 18-year-old did have his second goal shortly after the restart, shooting powerfully home after receiving the ball from Alessandro Gazzi.
It was 3-0 to the visitors in the 54th minute when Grandolfo completed his treble, providing the right left foot finish to Huseklepp's cross.
Huseklepp and Siligardi came close for the visitors while Albin Ekdal and Marco di Vaio threatened for the hosts, before substitute Nicola Strambelli shot narrowly wide for Bari with 15 minutes to go.
Archimede Morleo was denied by Gillet, before a dismal afternoon for the home side was capped in the 78th minute when Strambelli set up Huseklepp for a low right-foot shot into the corner of Viviano's goal.
Di Vaio brought a good save out of Gillet in the closing stages - but Bologna's season ended with a whimper with a sixth defeat in eight games.
