Argentine defender Martin Demichelis has revealed that he has agreed to stay with Malaga on a permanent contract until 2013.
Demichelis joined the Spanish side on loan from Bayern Munich in January this year with Malaga retaining the option to sign the 30-year-old on a permanent contract for a reported transfer fee of €3 million.
With the summer transfer window set to open, the former River Plate centerback has revealed that he will carry on playing in Spain.
“I want to share with you the fine news that on the 30th of June I will become an official Malaga player, and my contract will last until 2013,” said Demichelis on his Twitter page on Wednesday.
Demichelis has established himself as an important player in Manuel Pellegrini’s set up and has featured in 18 Primera Division matches, helping Malaga stave off relegation.
