Some shades of old Cheryl Cole?

CHERYL Cole looks more like her old self yesterday after her hair-raising debut at the filming for American X Factor.

Boss Simon Cowell was less than impressed by her bouffant look and garish orange and purple outfit.

He said: "I wasn't really taken by her hair. It was the equivalent of putting on five gallons of hairspray then standing in the middle of a hurricane."

But yesterday, as she left France's Cannes Film Festival, her barnet was back to normal and she wore a simpler outfit.

Cheryl, 27, also got a less than flattering comment from fellow show judge LA Reid, 54, after last week's filming in Los Angeles. The record exec behind Rihanna and Justin Bieber said: "I don't know a Cheryl Cole song. I've never listened to her music."
