HE finished his season of hell with a day in heaven.

But Mario Balotelli still found space on the box to sneak home a last-gasp trademark blooper.

The man of the match in Manchester City's 1-0 FA Cup final victory over Stoke was asked live on ITV if his strike display was his finest of the term.

Balotelli said: "All my season was s*** - can I say that? I've played not very well, but today maybe I played more for the team."

He added: "I'm happy. I said to the guys before the game 'we're better than them, we have to respect them and give everything and if we do we're going to win'."

ITV presenter Adrian Chiles apologised to viewers for Balotelli swearing.
