Lecce captain Guillermo Giacomazzi has backed his team to bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Genoa and secure their Serie A safety.
Lecce make the journey to Verona to face Chievo for a match that is a true relegation dogfight for both clubs.
With just four matches remaining, Lecce are in the bottom three but they still have time to ensure they can stay in the division.
Sunday's 4-2 defeat to Genoa left Lecce in 18th place, level on 35 points with Sampdoria, who are in the last position of safety.
Giacomazzi said: "We are still very much in the race to avoid the drop. I remain confident that we can defend our Serie A status.
"We are all extremely motivated and we have four finals left to play. Our game at Chievo is extremely important.
"Our aim is to limit the mistakes we made against Genoa and bring home three points.
"A victory for us could see us climb back to safety."
Lecce have won just three times on the road this season.
Defeat could leave Lecce hanging on by their fingertips with matches against Napoli, Bari and Lazio still to be played.
Chievo are only four points better off than Lecce but are currently 13th in the standings.
The men from Verona have won just one of their last four league games and take on Lecce on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Roma.
Chievo coach Stefano Pioli is aware his team needs more points to guarantee Serie A safety.
"A four point advantage is not enough to remain calm," said Pioli. "We are still in danger and we have to take as many points as possible in our remaining games."
Chievo have lost just one of their last four games in Verona.
