Racing de Santander vs Mallorca preview - Laudrup: We`re not safe yet

Real Mallorca coach Michael Laudrup has warned his side not to assume last week's win over Getafe, which moved them onto 42 points, has guaranteed their top-flight status.
Only two sides in the last 10 years have been relegated having reached the 42-point mark, while last term Malaga avoided the drop with just 36 points.
Mallorca are now comfortably clear of that tally following their 2-0 win over Getafe, but Laudrup is demanding more from his side ahead of the trip to Racing Santander.
"There is a relieved atmosphere following the key game (against Getafe) and seeing the other results. There is a world of difference between 39 and 42 points at this stage of the season, but I don't think 42 is enough, so we need to get more," said Laudrup.
"We aren't safe, we can't lower our intensity levels, not even a millimetre.
"It's one thing to be calm but the problem is if that then becomes too relaxed. We can't talk as if we've already secured our survival, although it is close. Last Sunday's win was crucial but there are still things to do."
Racing had looked to be on their way to Primera Division safety not to long ago as well, but back-to-back defeats against relegation rivals Deportivo La Coruna and Malaga in their last two matches has left them still in danger.
Marcelino Garcia Toral's side are in 15th place, two points above the drop zone, although the Racing coach remains confident about his side's chances.
"We played well against Malaga last weekend and we are still confident of staying up," said Marcelino. "But we need to win games and let's hope that starts on Sunday."
