Ayr manager Brain Reid is concerned by an ever-growing injury list ahead of the visit of Airdrie.
Defender Dean Keenan and on-loan Partick winger Stuart Bannigan are already absent through injury but Reid is worried his list of absentees may not stop at two.
He said: "I have concerns that we could be missing another four players and that will affect us badly.
"I have told members of the club's youth team to bring their boots in as quite a few of them are going to be involved."
Despite qualifying for the play-offs and the depleted numbers, Reid is determined that his side continue to put points on board.
He added: "We have not lost to Airdrie this season and regardless of the team we put out I want to keep that record intact."
Airdrie`s squad is boosted by the return of two players.
Full-back Grant Smith is available again after suspension and winger Gary Mackay-Steven is also included after recovering from an injury.
However, a knock will keep striker Ryan Donnelly on the sidelines as the Diamonds look to keep their thin hopes of promotion alive.
Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "We will go to Ayr and give it our best shot and what will be, will be.
"It would be great to be involved in the promotion campaign until the last week and when you consider our aim this season was survival the players deserve great credit for even keeping it going this long.
"Our last match with Ayr was a bit of a disaster as they beat us 5-0 and it would be nice to put that right."
