AC Milan's Marco Amelia ready for 'decisive' clash against Brescia

Marco Amelia says there is plenty of incentive for AC Milan to beat Brescia on Saturday as he eyes a Scudetto and Coppa Italia double this season.
Amelia, 29, was afforded a rare appearance in goal during the Coppa Italia semi-final, first-leg clash against his former club Palermo on Wednesday which saw the game end in a 2-2 draw.
But with the league title within touching distance for Milan, who lead Serie A from Napoli by six points, Amelia made it clear there is no going back as he makes a resonant case for trophies.
"This weekend can be almost decisive if the other results go our way," Amelia told Sky Sport Italia.
"But we know what it means to play a team like Brescia who are fighting for survival, and so we have to go there fighting."
A win against the Rondinelle will leave Massimiliano Allegri's team within a maximum two wins of the Serie A crown.
"If we were to win the title and Coppa Italia in our first season with a new coach then it will be a great result for Milan," he added.
The Italian was blamed for Palermo's second goal last night, scored by Abel Hernandez, but he rejects claims the strike was his fault.
"He [Hernandez] scored a great goal, a strong shot in between the posts. Someone wrote it was my fault. That's ok, but not everyone understands football or goalkeeping," he said.
The return leg in Sicily takes place on May 10.
