Cana: In demand after impressive season for Galatasaray
Lazio have confirmed they are trying to finalise a deal for former Sunderland star Lorik Cana.
The 27-year-old midfielder has been starring for Galatasaray this season following his summer move from Sunderland to Turkey.
Lazio tried to sign him in January, when Aston Villa, Fulham and Bolton were also linked.
Now Lazio have returned and are confident they will get their man.
Lazio President Claudio Lotito told Il Corriere dello Sport: "I have given Igli Tare [technical coordinator] the job of bringing the Albanian player to Rome.
"He can be useful to our midfield and our defence. We need someone like Cana. He is always at the ready physically and has experience."
