London 2012 Olympics: David Beckham keen to feature in Games
LA Galaxy's David Beckham says he could play at the London 2012 Olympics.

David Beckham has confirmed his interest in playing for the Great Britain football team at the London Olympics, and has revealed he could stay in Major League Soccer next season.

Beckham, who turns 36 next month, is in the final year of his five-year Galaxy contract, leading to speculation over his plans, with a move to the Premier League an option. However Beckham said he has taken no decisions over his future, with remaining in the MLS a possibility.

"There's a chance [of staying in the MLS]. I haven't made any decision about what I'm going to do after this year. I think it's important that I just concentrate on my play this year. I feel fit, I feel good in games, I feel as if I'm performing well. I need to continue that and then in a few months I'll think about what I want to do."

Beckham said participating in the Olympic Games 2012 in London is among his ambitions. "It's something that I'd like to be involved in, and I'd like to be involved as a player. But we'll have to wait and see. That's a year away yet. So we'll see. I'll enjoy the rest of this season first: we're only five games in."
