Stenhousemuir vs Livingston preview - Livingston on the verge of title glory
Posted Saturday, April 09, 2011 by PA
Stenhousemuir have defensive concerns for their home match with champions elect Livingston.
Goalkeeper Ally Brown is a major doubt and the central defensive pair of Michael Devlin and Gary Thom are both suspended.
Fellow centre-back Scott Fusco and striker Scott Dalziel are out injured, but Scott Gibb is available after injury to bolster Stenhousemuir's rearguard with Iain Thomson free of suspension.
Ochilview boss David Irons said: "We are up against it but Livingston's potential party might work in our favour.
"There will be a decent crowd and no-one will want to see another team celebrating on our pitch.
"The two games I have been involved in between the sides have been close and I am sure Gary Bollan knows this will not be easy."
Livingston go looking for the win that could see them crowned champions without the injured trio of Cameron MacDonald, Michael O'Byrne and Bobby Barr.
However David Cowan is fit enough to be included in manager Gary Bollan's squad.
A win for the Lions would see them secure their second successive promotion should Brechin fail to beat East Fife, but Bollan is not looking for any favours.
He said: "We will just treat it as any other game and not look at what is happening elsewhere.
"There is no point wondering about how other games are going until you have won your own game.
"We will go out, enjoy the day and see what happens should we pick up three points."
