Ayr will be without centre-back Martyn Campbell against Forfar.

Campbell is suspended as the Honest Men fight to get their push for a play-off place going in the right direction again by seeing off Forfar in the second meeting of the sides in four days.

The injured Dean Keenan remains out with midfielder Scott McLaughlin heading a list of four players that manager Brian Reid rates as doubtful.

Reid may have to call up members of his youth side after a run of four defeats and a draw in their last five games.

He said: "We have actually played well in those games but we are missing chances and being punished for every mistake we make."

Forfar's caretaker boss Ian Campbell has named an unchanged squad.

Campbell's side defeated Ayr 3-2 in midweek at Station Park and will go with the same squad as the sides meet again in Ayrshire.

Long term injury victim Stephen Tulloch is not yet ready for a comeback and continues to miss out with Campbell contemplating a change to his starting line-up.

He said: "Martyn Fotheringham came on as a substitute and scored twice on Tuesday evening and he has obviously come into my thoughts for a starting place.

"Somerset Park is a really hard place to go to but we won there recently so we can go there with confidence.

"We are gradually getting back to the form we showed last autumn and with a play-off place still to be secured I am pleased with that."
