Morton picked up their first win in five matches by despatching of rock bottom 10-man Stirling 2-0 at Cappielow Park.

The home side went in front after nine minutes, Albion`s Ross Forsyth putting through his own net while trying to clear David O`Brien`s cross.

They doubled their lead after 36 minutes, O`Brien receiving a pass from Peter Weatherston before converting from six yards.

Albion goalkeeper Callum Reidford prevented the Ton increasing their lead making impressive second-half saves from Allan Jenkins and Brian Graham.

But hapless Stirling could not make the most of Reidford`s form and their misery was complete six minutes from time when Christopher Aitken, who had only come on as a 76th-minute substitute, was sent off for violent conduct.
