Forfar vs Ayr Utd. preview - Injury worries for Forfar
Posted Tuesday, April 05, 2011 by PA
Forfar have injury concerns over goalkeeper Scott Gallacher and striker Paul McQuade for the visit of Ayr.
The game comes too soon for defender Stephen Tulloch as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury, but midfielder Martyn Fotheringham should return to action.
Assistant manager Ian Campbell is determined that his side will get back to winning ways with a third victory of the season over Brian Reid's men.
Campbell said: "We need to get a couple of wins to get going again as we`ve been under-performing recently and giving sides beneath us hope.
"The game at Somerset Park a couple of weeks ago was our best recent performance and a repeat of that would be fine."
Ayr defender Martyn Campbell is available for the trip after hamstring trouble, but Dean Keenan remains sidelined with a knee injury.
Manager Brian Reid has told his players that they will have to turn chances into goals to end a run of four games without a win and consolidate their end-of-season play-off place.
Reid said: "We have been creating plenty of opportunities but not scoring them and that has to change.
"We have missed penalties in our past couple of games as well, but if we keep working hard I`m sure things will fall into line for us.
"This will be a tough game but a great one to get three points in."
