Forfar Athletic 1 : 1 Stenhousemuir - Anderson saves Sten`s 10
Posted Saturday, April 02, 2011 by PA
A Grant Anderson goal 12 minutes from time rescued a point for 10-man Stenhousemuir in a 1-1 draw away at Forfar.
The home side went in front after 16 minutes when striker Ryan Dow scored from close range.
The visitors were forced into a change after losing goalkeeper Alistair Brown to injury after 26 minutes.
Forfar nearly doubled their lead 10 minutes after the restart, but Greg Ross saw his header saved.
The home side could not add to their total but probably thought the game was safe after Mike Devlin was dismissed on the hour mark for using foul and abusive language.
But struggling Stenhousemuir defied the odds and gave their survival hopes a boost after 78 minutes when Anderson fired in from 12 yards.
